Empower your Life with Purpose
One of the questions most people ask at some point in their lives is, “Why am I here?”
“What is my purpose for being here on this earth?” Or “How can I find my purpose?”
Well, my friend, just like the answers to many age-old questions, I believe the answer to this can be found in the Bible, and even more specifically in Ephesians 2:10, which states:
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV
I also like the Amplified Bible’s version just to give a little more clarity:
“For we are God’s (own) handiwork (His workmanship), (re)created in Christ Jesus (born anew) that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us (taking paths which He prepared ahead of time), that we should walk in them (living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live).” Ephesians 2:10 AMP.
Beloved, did you know that you are God’s handiwork, his masterful work of art? It’s true. God created and designed and fashioned each and every one of us with our own unique set of gifts and talents. But He didn’t stop there. Then He even prepares us and guides us along certain paths in order for us to do His good works which He predestined and planned for us to do in advance.
Why would a Sovereign God, who created the entire universe, who can do whatever He pleases, include us in His divine Master plan?
In Isaiah 43:6- 7, God’s word says, “Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
And in John 14:13, even Jesus said that he” came to bring the Father glory: And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
Finally, brothers and sisters, in 1 Cor. 10:31, the Word says, So…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Therefore, as beloved sons and daughters of God, it is up to every one of us to find out how we can best serve the body of Christ by utilizing our own unique gifts and talents that God has given us to bring Him glory.
